Roland A. Johnson of Venice, Florida and Williams Bay, Wisconsin passed away December 21, 2012, at his home in Williams Bay. Roland was born in Chicago on May 2, 1920, to August and Ida (Carlson) Johnson. In 1926, he became a summer resident of Williams Bay Wisconsin. He attended Chicago Public Schools and graduated from William Senn High School in 1938. He served in the US army from 1941 until 1945.

On September 10, 1949, in Park Ridge, Illinois he married Marilyn Joan Hughes. They were partners in marriage, business and raising their family for 46 years. Marilyn died in 1996. In 1970 Roland founded The Supply Corporation in Lake Geneva and in 1982 he and Marilyn became winter residents of Venice, FL.

Roland is survived by three daughters Linda (David) Swengel of Harvard, IL, Carol (Thomas) Berner of Janesville, WI and Nancy (Rex) Anderson of Lake Geneva, WI, six grandchildren, Jennifer Kautz of Salem, OR, Christine (David) Johanson of Woodstock, IL, Julie (Neal) Kolb of Lake Geneva, WI, Michael (Alyssa) Swengel of Milton, WI, Laura Anderson of Edina, MN and John Swengel of Chicago, IL. He is survived by great grandchildren Natalie Kautz, Alex Barnes, Erik Ingsson, Hunter, Lydia and Erik Johanson, Adeline Kolb and June Swengel. He is also survived by his dear friend and companion, Patricia Maino of Venice, Florida, and more friends that one can count. In addition to his parents and wife, Roland was preceded in death by his sisters Grace Johnson and Sonja Carlborg and brother, Stuart W. Johnson.
